KURT AND BLAINE’S SEX SCENE IS NOT THERE TO TURN US ON. IT IS NOT PORN. IT IS NOT SMUT. IT IS NOT THERE TO GET US WET OR FOR US TO JACK OFF TO. IT’S NOT EVEN FOR US TO SHIP WAR ABOUT.

This storyline is so much more significant than that. This is the first time, on national television, that a gay storyline - on that features TEENS, no less - will be handled with love and respect. This is HUGE for the LGBT+ community. This is the first time where a gay couple is being treated equally with a straight couple. This is a couple deciding to have a more intimate relationship and hey, look at that. They just happen to be two guys! All other gay sex scenes have been on networks like Starz, HBO, and Showtime which do not have to cater to the whims of advertisers. FOX is going to get a ton of shit because of this storyline. They’re going to lose advertisers.

And it’s not just huge for the LGBT+ community. This is huge for everyone. Whether you’re a Klaine fan or a Kurt stan or a Blaine stan or whatever. This is huge for the characters. We’re all emotionally invested in them and this is so, so important. You don’t see Finchel fans going, “ooooh, my panties are so wet thinking about Finchel porn!” do you? No, you don’t. Because they know that this is a huge moment for their favorite characters.

This storyline is not for your sexual enjoyment. Please treat it with a little more respect, because I’m tired of seeing my dash treat it as free porn. Yeah, it’s exciting and hot and haha, gay porn on my TV! But please realize that it is so, so much more than that.

This is relevant again, so I’ll just put this here and add: Chris Colfer’s state of dress is also not meant to arouse us.
